I've chosen this simple yet beautiful fabric for my little kitchen window over the sink.  It is lovely indeed.  Today I'm back to sewing and making little needed things for the home.

This Apron Makes Me Hungry!

 

Who grew up eating Kellogg Cereals?  We sure did in our household.  I have to admit we still do at times.  Sometimes I even eat a bowl of cereal for a midnight snack!

This is a cute fabric with all sorts of cereal displayed.  I see Corn Flakes Raisin Bran even Rice Krispies! 

This apron is made from 100% Cotton Fabric with premium Cotton/polyester trims. It is a Cora 2 pattern a wider bodice design from my Grandma Cora's original pattern.  She wore a slimmer bodice apron. 

Great Grandma Maggie her apron was even slimmer in the bodice. I think they were much neater cooks than I. The Maggie will be the next apron design I will be sharing on the blog and in the shops.

I'm proud of them and you know they're very special to me because of the family members that have worn them in the past.  That pattern is well over 100 years in age. 

This version is the Cora Original that I adjusted for more top coverage for those of us that aren't that neat or just want more coverage.

Good morning!  I hope you're all having a great weekend morning! It seems during these times it takes some doing just to realize it is the weekend! What a crisp cool morning it is too. The nip in the air brings about creative feelings in me.  Does it do that to you too?  I'm excited and ready to quilt, sew new things, and sculpt something!

A few months ago I went on a mask and apron sewing frenzy. I'm now listing almost all of the remaining aprons. I think there are one or two more to photograph and list.

Newest Aprons

 

Today I'm sharing four more aprons with you.  It has been a few years actually since I've sewn this much. I can't believe that I just said years!  It is good to try to put some normal activity back into our daily lives, isn't it?  I hope you are doing well and creating something that makes you happy.

Blue Flowers in a Red Field

This crisp beauty is made in seersucker fabric. I call it as I see it Blue Flowers in a Red Field. It is very nice and of course, I like it. Hope you will too whoever gets it. You know by my last apron of seersucker how much we like that fabric around here.

I have quite a few more to list and then on to the next patterned apron creations.

All In Rows

 

Little red flowers all in a row hence the name of this apron. This is another Cora 2 apron. The premium fabric is so very soft to the touch. I know whoever gets this little understated beauty will enjoy it.

Southern Searsucker/Seersucker Apron

 

Who among you like searsucker or seersucker fabric? I personally do. It is a crisp cotton fabric that seems to say, "Use me in anything to wear in warm weather". When I think of Spring and Summer here in the South that is always on my mind!

Today's apron is made from some of this fabulous fabric and I like it!

This full apron made from a family heirloom pattern will give you years of wear! This group as with all the Cora Aprons are simple yet strong utility aprons.

I still have an apron my great grandmother used and it is treasured. I will pull it out one day and do a post on it.

Add a Little Butter Apron Sewing!

Hey, y'all!  It's been a while since I've been on here and I've missed it. Apron sewing has begun once again. The break was far too long but it is very exciting to be back at the sewing machine again.
Today's post is about this Lobster One-Of-A-Kind apron. I say all a little butter to it and cook away!

Storing Quilts and Comforters

I am guilty of storing quilts years on end stacked and folded.  Some of my oldest are in a cedar chest I have. Well, I am finding out that those are two of the worst ways you can store and leave quilts.  The stacked folding wears the quilt in certain areas and creates permanent folds.  The cedar chest can actually deteriorate the most treasured quilts.  Here I thought I was doing a good thing in storing them in that manner.  Today sharing videos that show the correct way to store your most treasured quilts.

Recently, I made some simple Farmhouse Curtains for a wonderful client.  He and his wife are doing wonderful things with their home and these were a joy to make.
