Hello, I thought I'd share the ornaments I made this week. read more...
Super Sculpey Polymer Clay
This is the white Sculpey Polymer Clay
Today I used this for beards, eyebrows and hat fur balls.
Here they are some of the St. Nicholas Ornaments
I had one of the ornaments that I had made from the 1980s so I used a cardboard pattern for the outside shape to cut the flat bottom of the ornaments to keep them in the approximate size range.
The details were added to the flat pattern separately along with the beard, mustache and hat pom poms.
I had some clay in the craft room for a few years taking up space and decided to take it out. Since it was getting harder with age I used a pasta maker to soften the clay for use. It makes work with hard clay so much easier.
These are then baked, painted, sealed, and signed. This is what was made on this day and painted at a later date.
These are dolly's designs original works. Each one different yet similar as it is with handmade items.
This rust ornament packaging up and ready to ship out soon.
It takes a few days to get the ornaments ready and then time to dry before shipping or using. I do enjoy taking a block of clay and making something useful or that I really like.
