Scalloped Apron

Blue/Green Scalloped Apron

I need to take a photography class and one day hope to do just that...not today too busy.  This is a beautiful apron.  It has layers of beautiful fabrics.  Today I share the making of Scalloped....

Fabric

The Fiona Collection from Windham Fabrics by ANNA GRIFFIN.  It is an absolutely beautiful premium cotton fabric.  The soft blues with a hint of dark blue, the white,  and the light almost fluorescent green.

This is Williamsburg HOME SWEET HOME by Windham Fabrics.  This premium fabric is also very beautiful and feels so soft to the touch.  I love it.  It has beautiful tones of blue with white background with the smallest hint of green leaves.

This calico fabric Country Floral by Springs.  A good quality cotton although not premium it is one of the prettiest green colors I've ever seen.  The background is a light green with floral blossoms of medium green with dark green leaves.  A beautiful fabric and it added just the right touch for this apron.

The layers sewn and put together.  Aren't they pretty together?  I love this combination.

Another shot to show the fabrics a little better

Sewing the buttons on.  They secure the layers together and are pretty as well.

I never tire of putting fabrics, trims together and seeing the end results of what is being made.
Do you sew?  If you do you definitely know what I mean.
I at the moment am working on two more of these scalloped aprons and will share them with you when finished.  I can't wait to see how they turn out.

Have a great weekend all!

Oh I wanted to share the pattern for those that like to sew their own.
This is of course view A

  3. Dolly, my Niece's will get their aprons for Easter and I can't wait to hear how much they enjoy them - unlike my sister Corinne, who says her apron is 'too' nice to cook with.
